Join Sonoro’s artistic directors, plus special guests each Sunday afternoon, to discover why Fauré’s Requiem is one of the most loved and often sung choral pieces in the world.

 

Explore this magnificent work, improve your vocal technique, and build confidence towards recording your contribution to an online concert with expert vocal tuition from Sonoro’s professional singers in sectional rehearsals for each voice part.

The project culminates in a YouTube premiere at 6:00pm on Good Friday, 2 April 2021, supporting Requiem to Cancer set up by the late Simon Wood in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The performance will feature participants alongside Sonoro’s professional singers, as well as baritone Matthew Brook, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Junior Chorus singing ‘Pie Jesu’, together with Wimbledon Choral SocietyThe Dionysus Ensemble, and Fauré’s organ at L’eglise de la Madeleine, Paris where the piece was first performed.
